next question
Is there a limit on how much of the bonnet you can cut away cause my T4's and the carbs along with a fair amount of plumbing will be above the bonnet on the gemini. OR do I need a gay looking scoop to covour it all?

At higher speeds it's very possible for the wind rushing over the top of an open carb to actually vacuum air away from your intake and cause a high speed leanout.
We've actually had this problem with sidedraft carbs on a 6cyl T-bucket.
If you don't like the idea of a bonnet scoop then maybe something like a bug catcher is worth considering.

I started to do a pick with paint but I couldn't even understand it in the end.

Certainly not a dumb question. There has always been a risk when a bike is running alongside a vehicle - street meet or qualifying in major race meeting.
There is the potential of serious injury to the BIKE RIDER if the bike goes down. The rider has very little control of how they fall and where they are rolling or sliding.
This was clearly demonstrated (back in the very early 1990's I think) here at TD when a rider lost control in the deep end. Thankfully she (yes, a girl with some experience too) was not critically injured but did have injuries. She could have been very easily run over by the vehicle in the other lane. TD stopped paring the bikes with cars.
Soon after the rules were changed.
