however you may be able to get away with stockies if you use a rising rate fuel regulator (7:1 ) for every psi of boost you will get 7psi of rail pressure
have a read of the zoom mag if it was me however maybe a 350 chev v8 might be what the doctor ordered

Superchargers need big engines to be effective because of the power loss just to run the SC.

I have found in researching for my gemini that for the best ballance for reliability and performance is that any forced induction motor should be roughly 8.5 to 1 comp ratio. so you may need to drop yours to fit a blower or turbo.
On the other hand theres a wrecker in town here with a vs that was T-boned and written off. They want $1500 and it will have every thing you need.
Check your motor and keep researching.
