This subject gets my blood absolutly boiling.... this bloke has done the wrong thing, yes, but to take his car for life??

THATS A DAMN CRIME - You wait for the backlash against the police force if they take this young kids car.

He was doing static burnouts from the article - even a moron can controll that...

I dont see any 3rd time offender DUI guys loosing their car... FFS really - what is more dangeous and drunk wanker loose behind the wheel are a young hoon sitting still smoking the tyres?

I cannot stand this shit. :rtfm:

This is just unethical - not only does it go against Civil Liberties, but also against our general rights to be an australian citizen...

bloody Pigs thats all they are bloody Pigs - And I am not talking about the police force either...
Politicians are nothing but dirty, disgusting, slimy corrupt individuals, who need a good kick in the ass....

WAKE UP AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rtfm:

dude he had 3 offences in 5 months, if he settled down a little and was busted over 12 months it might be a different story.

it is crap but some don't learn. If this teaches him a little responsibility then it has worked. It may even save a few lives. Maybe even his own.

A licence is a privelage not a right.

And one of those offences was "driving on a footpath"....I mean c'mon....what the hell was he thinking?
The thing about drink drivers is the fact that it's alcohol induced....this guy is a clown 24/7 apparently.
I think that 12 month confiscation would work well. B)
Hmmm.

Not a Chance Canada - they will only get their grubb corrupt hands on my car over my dead body.

You are right having a license is a Privaledge not a right - so take that away.

It is however a right to be able to own and lay claim to your own things.

besides - I really hope that car is still owned by the bank - Filthy pigs wont be able to touch it.

Yes - this i do agree with - was just using the DUI thing as an example... LOL

Yeah - 12months would be appropriate - but to take this kids car, sell it on him and use it as a revenue rasing exercise...... thats is wrong... if anything the sale of the car should go into the educations system to start a fund for driving instruction during year 12.

NOT TO THE COPS.

You all missed the point - I am all for this bloke losing his license trust me...

My point is they are trying to take his car for good.... thats what is stirring me up.

I don't think you all understand... Hei57's beef is not with the gentlman loosing a 'right to a licence' or anything... it's with his personal property being usurped and 'stolen' from him...

and you jsut said what i said...too slow, my bad.

I agree that it would be disheartening to have your car taken off you full stop. But i think they (the pollies) are just trying bring up some 'shock' options and really make an example of this guy. know what i mean?
Hmmm.

Unless an example is made out of this guy whats going to stop him from driving while hes on a suspension, he clearly has no requard for the law, sellings is car is proberly abit over the top, but he dosnt deserve to be driving for a long time to come

I agree with him getting reprimanded for what he did, the law is the law, whether we like it or not. I cant see how they can take his car for life, but unfortunately if that conseqence is written into the law that they can take his car for life after the third offence, then i guess its possible it will happen. He can only be punished with whats written into the law i think, but this case will prolly be used as precident.

They (government, police, do-gooders) will want to make an example out this guy, so i wouldnt be suprised if they go hard on him.

I also agree with Ferret, a licence is a privledge, not a right.

P.S. is he banned from owning/driving a car for life, or just this car?

he can buy it back at auction for f**k all coinage, he probably will, how many people will he kill before he is 25?

If someone has a gun licence and registerd gun, yet uses it carelessly, should he be entitled to keep said firearm?

He should lose his licence! Especially if he is drivin stupidly in residential areas where there are children... And drivin on the side walk wat a dick head! He should lose his licence, and get jail time. Specially since he got done 3 times in 5th doin stupid shit.

I dont agree with takin his car off him for life. Yeh i'd agree to takin it for like a week or something... but life is OTT!
