Hey all

Cruisingmackay.com is holding its own drag day at Palmyra Dragstrip on Saturday 16th June. Now it's not just about the races - we've got a Show n Shine and Swap meet, and are currently, we're negotiating for the use of some audio equipment for a Soundoff. So the whole day is going to be loads of car enthusiast fun.

This is a private hire of the dragstrip, totally funded by CM and we're offering only 80 racing spots available for purchase of $70 each. Normally, racing at TnT at Palmyra costs only $30, so why is this costing more? Here's the answer - you get yourself and one other free entry for the whole day. Racing time is from 3pm to 8pm at night - that's 5 hours! The track is going to be fully prepped including track compound, which is not normally done. It's fully ANDRA sanctioned and insured by Palmyras insurance. Each drag racer is also going to get a "drag bag" full of lots of goodies from our sponsors and a CM Drag Day 2007 shirt.

Hoping we see as many Central QLD car enthusiasts as we can at this event not only to have a great day, but we definitely want to do this again - so first numbers always count!

Update:
QLD "Beat the Heat" will be attending as guest racers! Race against members of the Mackay Traffic Branch!
QLD Transport is supporting the event!
QLD Police will be attending and bringing some toys

If the QSS members all go then there won't be room for anyone else 80 spots shouldn't take to long to fill, good luck with the event, sounds like it will be awesome, unfortunately will not be able to make it as I shall be getting another day older and not phyiscally able to walk let alone drive, Happy Birthday to me that weekend.

No? It's sanctioned by ANDRA, which means we can have a top fueler run on the day if we wish, but you don't need a ANDRA licence or CAMS or anything like that to race on the day.

I drove all the way to the Sunsate Nationals on saturday morning and all I got was some pics of hot girls posing for a photo shoot! So count me in! I'll be back in June to race.
