And sure its a good topic to discuss.. But its a dead set waste of time to offer advice to people who have no intention or means of following through with the advice.

But I'm sorry I have trouble believing you didn't have assistance of some description.. how would you earn the 10 or 20 grand to put down as a deposit? in an after school job? its not impossible just unlikely, and if you were good at saving, what financial institute would give a 17year old over $100,000? I'm not saying I don't beleive you.. I just wanna know how!!! haha Let me know!!

Seriously man, are you a fortune teller or something, I know it seems a little wild to be coming from a 17 year old but there is a first time for everything and maybe he will be the first person his age to succesfully complete this build.
You shouldn't be so hard on him for wanting to do something unique, because if he does actually end up completing the project how is that going to make you look?
Don't get me wrong though it doesn't seem realistic, but like gtp_vlbt1 said, unless you know his financials and who he knows dont judge the poor guy, everyones got the right to dream

Just because of my age you think I have no chance of building an rb26/30 conversion into an s15, if I was 28 and saying the same thing, would be posting the same shit you do now? I am not saying this project is going to be finished by the end of the year, I am still going to be driving the lancer until it is done, this project might be finished next year or the year after or the year after that.
Next thing, I don’t harass you about stuff that you post on this site so why do you have to do it to me? If you don’t believe that I am going to go through with this conversion, could you please waste you time else where and do something more constructive, rather than harass me and others on QSS.
So just stop you useless and time wasting assumptions and keep your opinions to yourself…

Here is how I would do it. Go to it!!!
Get the head(there is one at extreme, but it needs some work, hit them up for it, but don't f**k them around) it will have to be modified to suit, as stated before in this thread there is a adobe reader application for the mods you will need to do to the head. (bonds is where I would take it, behind key motors)
Buy some forgies to suit the application (heaps of brands out there)and some decent rods(heaps of brands again)
You've got the block (is it a series 2 block, check for oil and water lines so that you can run a turbo on it without having to drill your own holes which is a mission)
Deck the block to make sure it is true, and then get the block bored to suit the piston, make sure they match bore it. ie. piston 1, goes in cyclinder 1, just incase there are some slight differences in piston size, although there shouldn't be)
get a nissian headgasket for an rb30 (they are the best)
get ARP headstud kit, and rod bolts
get a full rebuilt kit for an rb30 including rings and bearings (these may come with the rods and pistons, not sure, you work it out)
Now screw the sucker together. f**k yeah, you've got a 26/30
Then Greddy plenum.
Suss out a manifold and turbo and water and oil lines, once this is done take it to HI-FLOW for an exhaust then front mount of course.
Some 600-800cc injectors should do the trick.
malpassi rising rate fuel reg.
surge tank.
2 decent fuel pumps 044's should do the trick (might need more if its hardcore)
ok that is engine, outlet (turbo), inlet (plenum) and Fuel (all stuff listed) done.
Now comes gearbox, you want an auto, I would reckon that you go to a 2 speed glide with a decent sized converter, however you would have to set it up to to suit the turbo and when it spools. Then you've got to make a custom automatic gearbox crossmember, and get a tailshaft made (hardy and spicer)
Hope that helps little fella, no more bitching I don't help you.
If you can't come to a forum and give your opinion than what is the point? Just because everyone isn't on your side, don't cry about it little fella, that is life, so get used to it. I really hope you prove me wrong, but until I see more than an over-priced ($1200, last time I checked) rb30e engine sitting at your house ready for you to actually start the conversion then you should forgive me for being alittle reluctant to believe you.
cheers

but I still wouldn't buy anything that made 1200hp as you want to build it yourself, cause your going to be re-building it alot.
