Havent heard much about Dynaudio subs myself mate, hear more about Image dynamics, Focal and R/F when it comes to SQ subs. I would imagine the Dynaudio ones would go off though in the SQ category.

I want to get me a complete DLS stereo system, amps, components and subs throughout. One day, when I am rich.

Yeh they go quite good aparently, well IMO they are on of the best i have heard for acuracy and sound quality but thats wat i rekn. Aparently it is one of the most expensive 10'" u can buy, it cost me 450 buks! no enclosure either, had to get a custom one made up. Worth it tho, its served me well.

haha yeah the autobarn S15 had dynaudio splits in it worth around $1300~ or something and not to bragg but i reckon the Focal K2P`s in my S14 are nicer to listen to, they still are not cheap but a bit cheaper than the Dynaudios.

You thinking about splits now brock? or still the sub? lol

I have factory Pioneer Splits, 6 x 9 pioneers behind seats, 12inch MTX road thunder sub with a 600w mono block amp powering that, adding another sub in when i get the chance. so both subs will be behind seats. :D

hhmmmm, one of mi mates had sum p2's in 12inch, they have that ghetto bass but make sure you dont under power them, they also kill your front speakers if you have it cranked tooo loud, so u gota be carefull with 2 12's cos all you can hear is bass, which is good most of the time IMO :D but RF make a nice sub

For the layout, i think he means speakers, amps and sub etc. for a good SQ system...

The system i have in the S14 was put together for SQ and it sounds brilliant you could probably go for slightly better SQ with a Focal sub or equivilent but then you sacrifice some power for the harder hitting bass. SQ subs can sound "soft" in certain types of music whereas the Rockford stuff ( which IMO is the best stuff for amps ans subs hands down ) can still give you around 90% of the SQ but still deliver the hard hitting stuff and be as durable as you would need it to.

I would say if SQ is your thing, then go for 6-6.5" splits up front ( Focal, DLS, Alpine F1 etc. ) if you want rear fill then same speakers in the back ( never use 2 different high range drivers in the front and rear as it will throw of the sound stage badly and sound crap ) for the sub if you want SQ i would suggest 1 single high quality sub... 2 subs can be nice but deliver to much bass for SQ set ups and generally for the price of 2x lower end subs you can buy one high end one that will flog them anyway, provided it has a LOT of power being pushed into it.

And also invest in a lot of sound deadening, this is the most important factor for SQ.

i need sum sound deadening in the boot bad, i get road noise plus exhaust noise and the little 9.5" has to go hard to compete, btw noel, i know that ur fosgy sub is mounted facing up in the boot, do u keep your seat down so that the noise car get thru from the boot or have you ported it thru sumwhere?

Bass will travel though seats without a drama, I got mine mounted in the boot pointing towards the boot latch and it's pretty good. I had 2x 12" rocky subs but one got destroyed in the crash but it almost sounds better with 1.... only because it is getting more power that it needs though. I run a single 350w monoblock amp.
