Story by Rodney Meier.
MotorEx cruise for charity decided to venture out of the capital cities for the first time and Townsville was lucky enough to get a spot for the first non-capital city to host a Cruise for Charity. Being the first year up North we didn’t have high expectations of a huge event, but we knew there ae plenty of tuff cruisers around. With the day all planned out we saw a massive 230 cars cruising and wide arrange of vehicles from Corvettes, 6/71 blown Commodores, Cobras, 57 chevs, very clean F-Trucks, nice imports and huge range off tuff new Commodores and Fords. Ray Fords Street Commodores feature car also made the 900km round trip from Mackay.
The cruise of 15kms in which all cars completed without hassles was a spectacular sight.
At the end of the day we raised $9500 for Camp Quality which was excellent and we can build on this and make a even bigger and better event for next year.
